As at time of this report, no fewer than two people have been confirmed killed in a bloody confrontation between rival cult groups in Ogun state.
This is coming barely 24 hours, after the Police picked 84 suspected cultists in Ado-odo/Ota council area on Sunday.
As early as 8.00am reports indicated that cultists stormed Elega, Ago Odo and Adedotun areas in Abeokuta North local government of the state capital looking for their targets.
By the time the dust over the confusion settled, two persons were found dead on the road side at Elega and Ago-Odo along the Adedotun/ Elega road.
The one at Ago-Odo, identified as Ibrahim Alamutu aka Emir an a Aiye cult group member, had his throat and some parts of his body chopped off, with his remains left on the road side.
Pandemonium is everywhere now in the areas affected as shops band residents had closed their shops and houses, while Police patrol teams were seen roving the area.
The State Police public Relations Officer(PRO), Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the development, hinting that the Police had began a manhunt for the killers.
He said the arrest at Ado-odo area occurred at Imoshe forest in Igbesa in the council with the assistance of the members of the community.
